Relocation Resource Center
The Relocation Resource Center provides information to assist
soldiers and families in the relocation process. Videos of
other military installations, foreign language tapes, cultural
adaptation videos, trip itineraries, USAREUR driver’s
manuals (Germany Driver License), SETAF (Italian) driver manual,
Korean driver manual and resources pertaining to relocation
for children and teenagers are available. We also offer moving
planners, relocation website booklets, maps and world wide
installation information for your move.
Smooth Move Orientations
Smooth Move Orientations are conducted to provide relocation
information to soldiers and family members making a permanent
change of station move overseas or within the continental U.S.
Orientations are held every Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday at
the In & Out Processing Center. Briefings include: Army
Community Service programs, transportation, personnel movement
(travel),
legal, finance, and housing information. RELOCATION SPECIALISTS
ARE NOT SUBJECT MATTER EXPERTS. However, they can help you
find the correct agency for any problems or questions you may
have.
Individual Relocation Counseling
Relocation individual counseling is available to both incoming
and outbound transferees. The primary focus is pre-departure
counseling and relocation planning and preparation for your
new duty station. Individual relocation counseling is targeted
to
soldiers and families preparing for their first permanent change
of duty station or first overseas Permanent Change of Station.
However, anyone may utilize these services. Relocation counseling
includes assessing the soldier’s individual or family
needs and particular relocation circumstances and providing
helpful
information for the transitions. Appointments can be scheduled
at the end of the Smooth Move Orientation or by calling 798-6313/956-2676.
International
Drivers License
International driver’s licenses are available to soldiers
and their families PCSing (moving) overseas (excluding Alaska
and Hawaii). This license is ENCOURAGED
but not mandatory. No test is required. A completed application, accompanied
by 2 passport pictures; a copy of a valid stateside license; and, $10.00
(no cash) is required.
