Are you a military spouse new to the United States? If so, Army Community Service is here for you! Army Community Service Relocation Assistance Program, International Spouse Support Group, recognizes the many difficulties foreign-born spouses encounter in adapting and thriving in American society, this group provides a forum where they may gather to discuss personal concerns and frustrations, while sharing ideas and methods to help them cope and overcome specific problems.

The International Spouse Support Group is a multicultural, multi-ethnic group. The group provides support to foreign-born spouses in the Fort Campbell area. The main goal of the group is to bring together foreign-born spouses for an informal gathering, to share information such as learning English as a Second Language, acquiring American Citizenship, obtaining a resident alien card and/or driver’s license, networking, continuing education, finding a job, raising bilingual children, and issues pertaining to cultural adaptation.

The countries of Japan, Korea, Germany, Panama, Philippines, Mexico, Africa, France, New Zealand, and Norway are represented. The group has participated in organized picnics, a 4the of July barbecue, Concerts in the Park, baby showers, cooking classes, sewing classes, practicing "speaking English the American way", and learning Polynesian dances.

Foreign Born Spouse Orientation
The orientation provides foreign-born spouses with general information on English as a Second Language; employment resources; acquiring a driver’s license, social security card, or resident alien card (green card); and, procedures to become a U.S. citizen. The orientation is held on the last Friday of each month.

Army Family Action Plan is an Army-wide program that allows all members of the Army (active duty, retired military, family members and civilian employees) the opportunity to voice concerns and voice issues to installation and Army leadership. Here is your opportunity to make a difference in the Army quality of life for the Total Army Family. AFAP facilitates many positive changes that enhance the Army Experience. Issues are generated and collected from the Fort Campbell community and are addressed at the annual installation conference. Issues that are not resolved at Installation level are forwarded to MACOM and then Department of Army for resolution. The program allows your voice to be heard.
