Mission

To provide quality childcare that promotes an environment that is nurturing, loving, trusting, secure, safe, healthy and positive.

Program Overview

We provide quality full-time and hourly childcare for children 6 weeks through 5 years of age. Additionally, small ratio groups are available for addressing the individualized needs of each child. Our specialized and trained staff have a strong educational foundation for early childhood practices and theories. Our staff insures all children receive the proper nurturing, respect and social interaction skills regardless of family background, race, gender or culture. We give our children the opportunity to make friends, to explore and to experiment through a variety of play activities.

Accreditation

Our center has been accredited through the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) since April 1998. Accreditation is a nationally recognized credential for a developmental appropriate early childhood program. This credential recognizes programs that provide high quality care and education for young children. The purpose of becoming accredited is to continue to learn and improve the quality of our programs for young children. Our ratios are as follows: Infants 1:4, Pre-toddlers 1:5, Toddlers 1:7, Preschool 1:10.

Training and Curriculum

The Training and Curriculum Specialists (TACS) ensure the curriculum provided in our programs is age appropriate and provides developmental learning activities. The TACSs also plan, track, and provide training for employees and parents. Each center has 1-2 TACS depending on the size of the facility. They monitor the execution of the program requirements, ensure staff training, assess environmental and program quality, role model developmentally appropriate practices, and work cohesively with the specified Program Director. We are currently using Creative Curriculum in our classrooms. To learn more, please visit the Creative Curriculum web site for additional information.

Part Day Preschool

Give your preschooler the advantage of hands-on learning adventures with the Child, Youth & School Services (CYSS) Part-Day Preschool. This program has been designed with an interactive curriculum to stimulate preschoolers physical, intellectual, emotional, social and cognitive development by providing a positive and friendly early-learning experience.  The Pre-School Program is designed for children ages 3-5 years old. We also offer a Part Day Toddler program, age 24 month to 36 month.  The program strives to develop the whole child and provides toddlers with a strong sense of self. Toddlers are encouraged to participate in activities that are geared toward physical, intellectual, emotional, social and cognitive development. Our staff is trained in Creative Curriculum, where children learn essential skills through purposeful play.  We foster independence in children by allowing exploration through different experiences and themes in a safe and nurturing environment. Our mission at the Part Day Program is to provide quality care for your children in this unique and nurturing setting. The Part Day Pre-School and Toddler Program (PDPS/TP) offers a morning and afternoon session that operates from 0830-1130 and 1300-1600  Monday, Wednesday, and Friday or the 2 day program on Tuesday and Thursday.
