MISSION
To provide quality childcare that promotes an environment that is nurturing, loving, trusting, secure, safe, healthy and positive.

Learning is fun!PROGRAM OVERVIEW
We provide quality full-time and hourly childcare for children 6 weeks through 5 years of age. Additionally, small ratio groups are available for addressing the individualized needs of each child. Our specialized and trained staff has a strong educational foundation for early childhood practices and theories. Our staff insures all children receive the proper nurturing, respect and social interaction skills regardless of family background, race, gender or culture. We give our children the opportunity to make friends, to explore and to experiment through a variety of play activities.

ACCREDITATION
Our center is accredited through the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) since April 1998. Accreditation is a nationally recognized credential for a developmental appropriate early childhood program. This credential recognizes programs that provide high quality care and education for young children. The purpose of becoming accredited is to continue to learn and improve the quality of our programs for young children.

TRAINING AND CURRICULUM SPECIALISTS
The Training and Curriculum Specialists (TACS) ensure the curriculam provided in our programs is age appropriate and provides developmental learning activities. The TACS also plan, track, and provide training for employees and parents.

Each center has 2 TACS - one for each program. They monitor the execution of the program requirements, ensure staff training, assess environmental and program quality, role model developmentally appropriate practices, and work cohesively with the specified Program Director.

Part Day Preschool

Give your preschooler the advantage of hands-on learning adventures with the Child and Youth Services (CYS) Part-Day Preschool. This program has been designed with an interactive curriculum to stimulate preschoolers physically, intellectually, emotionally, socially, linguistically, and aesthetically giving them a positive and friendly early-learning experience.

HOURLY CARE
RESERVATION POLICY

Children must be registered with CYS in order to use hourly care
• Service fees are $2.50 or $3.50 depending upon the family income
• To reserve an hourly slot, call 439-7993 and give your child’s name, age, date and time needed.
• Reservations will be taken no more than 2 weeks in advanced.
• We take walk-ins on a space available basis.
• Childcare is limited to 20 hours/week per child.
• The fee is $3.50 per hour with a 2 hours minimum per reservation.
• The hourly care room is open from 0700-1700.


 

PRE-SCHOOL PROGRAM
The Pre-School Program is designed for children ages 3-5 years old.  The program is conveniently offered as a full-day program.  For those children that require care but attend a school on post, CDC #2 offers a before and after pre-school program that includes busing to and from the school/center which the child attends.

Part day Preschool Program offers:
Hands-on learning experience appropriate for children ages 3-5. Technology that will encourage children to learn computer skills. Parent advisory and volunteer opportunities. Parent support and educational workshops. Call (270) 412-6767 for more information.
