You never know what's gonna happen at SAS Summer Camp! We're Not Any AfterSchool Program...
We're SAS
!
We are happy to welcome you and your child into our School Age Services Program. It is the mission of Fort Campbell School Age Services (SAS) to promote quality of life by supporting Army readiness. SAS provides affordable before-school and after-school care in a quality program that meets the needs of youth and parents. In addition to before and after school care, separate SAS camps are operated during Winter and Spring breaks. During the summer months, SAS operates a full day camp.

Fort Campbell SAS is nationally accredited by the National Afterschool Association (NAA). This accreditation assures parents of a commitment to responsive and loving care, trained and competent staff, a safe and healthy environment, and consistent program improvement and quality.

ABOUT SAS
Fo
rt Campbell SAS is a Boys & Girls Club and 4-H Club program. The Boys & Girls Clubs of America promote positive youth development through the provision of opportunities for young people to develop the skills they will need to become successful and contributing members of their communities.

Click here to view our BOSS video. A variety of club-based programs are offered at all the SAS sites in four service areas: Sports & Fitness, Fine Arts, Citizenship & Leadership, and Leisure & Recreation. A major club program offered during the school year is our Academic Power Hour - this is an after school club that allows youth to work on homework assignments with qualified staff to assist them and the opportunity to engage in other higher learning activities to make learning fun! As a 4-H Club, SAS provides informal, hands-on educational experiences that guide children and youth to become responsible and productive citizens in their communities. The 4-H Clubs offered are Citizenship Club, Technology Club, the Photography Club, and the Fine Arts Club.

In the News

SAS Radio SASRadio

Fort Campbell School Age Services (SAS) is now broadcasting its own live radio station. Children from all five SAS locations come to the Taylor Youth Center and conduct their very own broadcast. Each child that participates goes thru a vigorous training on how to produce a show - equipment set up and script writing. Mr. Mike Sampson oversees the shows development and he takes great pride in talent development. “I truly enjoy watching children express themselves in a positive way. “This gives them the chance to do something they would normally not have the opportunity to do.” Each show has its own feel and style with all on air personalities represented by a SAS child. Shows range from an All Sports Show; Fashion Programs to SAS News with show concepts coming directly from what is pertinent to our children. Each show last anywhere from 15 to 30 minutes and they are conducted each day. The first broadcast was February 15, 2008.

Keeping You In The Bubble!

What is going on in SAS (School Age Services Fort Campbell)? The 4-H journalism club, 4-H photography club and 4-H technology club come together each month and produce a newspaper entitled “Keeping you in the Bubble.” Each of the five SAS sites has creative control of what is produced in their own section of the paper. Children format the cover and work seamlessly with other clubs to take pictures and produce computer graphics. At the end of each month all work is handed over to the lead editors and the paper is constructed. The responsibility of being the lead editor is rotated each month from one site to another. The first publication was distributed in November 2007 and is still going strong.
