Why do I have to pay this much for SAS?
**CYS program fees are based on Total Family Income.  Total Family Income is determined when patrons register with Central Enrollment.  There are 6 fee categories.  Fee charts are available at all CYS programs as well as CER.

Do you transport to off post school?
**Currently, SAS transports to 6 off post schools – Kenwood, Minglewood, Glenellen, Hazlewood, Northeast, Barker’s Mill  and Ringold.  Transportation fees are $22/one way, $45/round trip.  To utilize the bus, please contact Central Enrollment at 798-0674.

What are your hours of operation?
**During school days, SAS is open from 5.30 – 8.00 and 3.00 (school release) – 6.00pm.  When there is no school, SAS is open from 5.30-6.00pm.  Breakfast, lunch and snack are served.

Why do I need a Family Care Plan, new physical or new USDA enrollment?
**According to AR-608-10 Child Development Services, single/dual military families must have a Family Care Plan on file and update physicals every 2 years.  USDA enrollment expires every year – in order for SAS to receive reimbursement for each child eating, children must have a current USDA enrollment.

What are the Boys and Girls Clubs of America and 4H?
**CYS SAS and YS programs are affiliates of 4H and BGCA.  SAS and YS programs participate in clubs from each of these national organizations.  All children/youth registered with SAS or YS are also members of 4H and BGCA.

What is Power Hour?
**Power Hour is a program developed by BGCA.  Each SAS site provides educational support and enrichment activities after school..

What is NAA?
**NAA is the National AfterSchool Association.  National accreditation is the highest form of recognition for School Age programs.  All Army School Age programs are mandated to be accredited.
