Thank you for choosing Ft. Campbell Youth Sports & Fitness.  It is our goal to provide a positive, safe, friendly learning environment for youth and their families so that our enthusiasm for sports and fitness is carried throughout the community.  We are dedicated to meeting the needs of participants, parents and coaches. Enclosed in this packet is information you might find helpful regarding this season.  Please read through the packet and contact the Youth Sports & Fitness Department with any questions or concerns. We wish everyone a fun season!

Please pardon our progress.Youth Sports and Fitness offers a wide range of recreational and developmental activities for youth, grades K-12. Eligible youth are family members of active duty, retired military, and civilian employees at Fort Campbell. Some special instructional activities are available to four and five year olds. Summer Instructional Clinics are also available for children ages 4-18 years of age.

Registration
Participants are required to be registered in CYS Services and enrolled in Youth Fitness or Sports activities for ages 4 and up. Annual physicals are required before the child participates in any sport activity.

Sports and Fitness Programs Offered
Include fall and spring soccer, flag and tackle football, baseball and softball, basketball, running, cheerleading archery, bowling, golf and fishing. Training for adult volunteers is ongoing throughout the year for all sports offered. Each coach is certified through the National Alliance for Youth Sports.

2009 Bowling Club

March through April 

Registration Begins: Monday 2 February 2009 

Registration Ends: Friday 27 February 2009 

Parent/Player Orientation: 1700 Tuesday 5 May 2009
Parent/Player Orientation will be conducted at Hooper Bowling Center 


First day of Bowling: Tuesday 5 May2009 
Last day of Bowling: Tuesday 30 June 2009 


Bowling Club meets every Tuesdays from 1700-1900 


All bowling will take place at the Hooper Bowling Center. 
Please ensure on time arrival for bowling, participants may not begin until all bowlers on their lane arrives. 
Parents should make the maximum effort to attend parent/player orientation night to ensure they receive accurate information on the season. 
Participants may bring their own ball & shoes. If not they will be provided. 
Registration fee includes all bowling fees & awards.

2009 Youth Tennis

March through April

Registration Begins: Monday 2 February 2009
Registration Ends: Friday 27 February 2009

Parent/Player Orientation: 1700 Tuesday 3 March 2009
Parent/Player Orientation will be conducted at to be determined site.

All participants will be called and notified of the location.

First day of Tennis: Friday 6 March 2009
Last day of Tennis: Tuesday 28 April 2009

All participants must currently play tennis or be enrolled for tennis lessons with SKIES Unlimited or another instructional program.

Tennis matches will be played on Tuesdays & Fridays from 1700-1900.
Participants will play both singles and doubles matches
Please ensure on time arrival for tennis Matches, participants may not begin until all players arrives.
Parents should make the maximum effort to attend parent/player orientation night to ensure they receive accurate information on the season.
Participants may bring their own tennis racquets. If not they will be provided.
Registration fee includes all equipment, T-shirt & awards.

2009 Spring Soccer

Registration Begins: Monday 2 February 2009

Parent/Coach Introduction Night:

Pre-K 1730 Tuesday 10 March 2009
K-1st 1800 Tuesday 10 March 2009
2nd-3rd 1830 Tuesday 10 March 2009
4th-5th 1900 Tuesday 10 March 2009
6th-8th 1930 Tuesday 10 March 2009

All Introduction nights will be conducted at Taylor Youth Center

First day of practice: 11 March 2009

First Game: Saturday 28 March 2009
Last Game: Saturday 9 May 2009

All Make-up Games will be played week of May 4-8 2009

No Game will be played Saturday April 11, 2009

All Games and Practices will be held at the South Sports Complex.

Sports Physicals are required for all participants (Physicals must have been conducted within the last year)

Parents are responsible for transportation to and from races.

All Race registration fees will be paid for by Youth Sports & Fitness.

All sports with the exception of Bowling practice 2 days a week with games on Saturdays.  All participants must be registered with CYS Services and have a current sports physical (completed within the past year).  The MWR Spouse Discount Card may be used for all the above sports.  Families with the discount card are entitled to two free sports registrations per child.

Even if you never played or coached before we want you! Our children need volunteer coaches to help them play the games, learn skills and have fun. You do not even have to be a parent, just someone who wants to be a part of a team that help children explore the world of sports. So come on in to Taylor Youth Activities Center next to the Guest house on Texas Ave and sign up now.
