STACC and VCCUS
These programs were created to
add additional hourly slots that the Child Development
Centers and
Family Child Care homes could not handle during their normal business
hours. They are also able to provide care during non-traditional
business hours.
When a small number of children need care and hourly slots are not
available at the CDC or through FCC then groups or units can contact
the Outreach Program to set up STACC care. For more than 20 children
the CDC can be opened after hours to provide a safe place for larger
groups. For more than 30 it will be mandatory to go to the CDC in
order to assure that the children’s safety is priority and the level
of quality care is not compromised.
These
programs are designed to support readiness by providing childcare during
family oriented sessions or meetings. By providing this alternative
childcare CYS Services assist in improving the quality of life our soldiers
and families have come to expect here at Ft. Campbell.
