Fort Campbell Schools are one of fourteen Domestic Dependent
Elementary and Secondary Schools (DDESS) districts funded by
the U.S. Department of Defense. The schools serve approximately
4,700 students yearly in eight schools which are staffed by
approximately 375 teachers. The schools at Fort Campbell are
able to serve only those students residing in permanent government
quarters.
Over the past few years, Fort
Campbell Schools has had a school receive honors at state
and national levels as a "School
of Excellence" or as a "Blue Ribbon School."
The Central Office for
the schools is located just inside Gate 4, Building 77 on Texas
Ave. Office hours during the school
year are from 7:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. The Superintendent

MISSION
The Mission of the Fort Campbell Schools, as a world-class
organization, serving all eligible children equally, is to
produce individuals who have developed and refined the skills
of acquiring knowledge, processing information, identifying
and solving problems, experimenting, collaborating and communicating;
we will accomplish this through a facilitative and interactive
learning environment that nurtures the physical, social,
emotional, aesthetic, and intellectual domains.
ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS
There are five elementary schools in the school system serving approximately
3,283 children from preschool to 5th grade. Grades 1-5 begin at 8:30 a.m.
and dismiss at 3:00 p.m. Early Childhood classes offer two sessions, morning
and afternoon, in each school. The first session begins at 8:00 a.m. and
dismisses at 11:00 a.m. while the second session begins at 12:00 noon and
ends at 3:00.

MIDDLE SCHOOLS
There are two middle schools, in the Fort Campbell School system
serving approximately 700 children in grades 6-8. The middle
schools begin classes at 7:30 a.m. and end classes at 2:30
p.m. Middle schools are organized into interdisciplinary
teams of Language Arts, Science, Mathematics and Social Studies.
Cooperative team planning and flexible grouping permits students
to achieve their maximum potential.

HIGH SCHOOL
Fort Campbell High School serves approximately 600 students
in grades 9-12. Classes at the high school begin at 7:30
a.m. and end at 2:30 p.m. The instructional program at the
high school is designed to meet the education needs of students
who plan to continue their education and students who plan
to develop a career upon high school graduation. A wide range
of course offerings, extracurricular activities, and clubs
as well as a comprehensive program of interscholastic sports
are available to all students.
