FORT CAMPBELL, KY March 21, 2005 – MWR’s Child and Youth Services Short Term Alternative Child Care and Volunteer Child Care in a Unit Setting Programs
Short Term Alternative Child Care (STACC) is an on-site child care program that provides child care in a room adjacent to the parents attending unit meetings or events. The designated child care room must be pre-approved and certified safe and “child-friendly”. Child and Youth Services (CYS) can provide you with a list of several locations on-post that are currently approved.
Family Readiness Groups are eligible for a FREE two hour session (STACC)
once a month as funds are available.
If the unit plans to hold a meeting, party or event off-post, and more than
20 children/youth are in need of child care, a Child Development Center can
be requested for STACC.
Volunteer Child Care in a Unit Setting (VCCUS) VCCUS is a hourly care program that allows individual unit members to become certified in child care safety, so they can provide care to children in their units during a meeting CYS provides the VCCUS training as requested.
