Dale Wayrynen Community Recreation Center is a home away from home for soldiers and families. We offer a wide range of activities, events, and recreation designed for everyone in the Fort Campbell community. From soldiers and spouses to children and DoD civillians, there is something for everyone here. In addition to our organized activities, our award-winning program at D W Rec offers a multitude of recreational options. Come on in for some fun and take a look at everything D W Rec has to offer!

Dale Wayrynen Community Recreation Center is your place to go for recreation “For All Your Life”. The recreation center strives to be a home away from home for soldiers and their families and offers a variety of activities for all ages. Just remember that since we are a mixed age use facility and we welcome you and your children to come and participate in our programs or just to come by and shoot a game of pool or play table tennis, or watch a movie or even play a musical instrument, all children under 18 years of age must be supervised by their parents the entire time they are in the recreation center. While some of our activities are held year to year we are always looking for new programs to offer the community. So stop by and see the program director with your ideas. Even though we haven’t scheduled all of our programs for 2007, here is a small sample of programs that we do have lined up. All dates are subject to change……!

History

We have been in operation since 1974. For 30-plus years, we have strived to provide a consistent involvement with units, soldiers, retirees, civilian employee groups, and families. Recreational needs have changed a great deal during our years of operation, and our adaptation to these changing needs is what has made Dale Wayrynen Recreation Center among the best in all the Army.
