ATTENTION HUNTERS AND FISHERMEN WITHOUT A POST STICKER

ALL INDIVIDUALS WHO WISH TO ENTER THE GARRISON AREA OF FT. CAMPBELL ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE A VALID POST STICKER ON THEIR VEHICLE.

PERSONS THAT DO NOT HAVE A POST STICKER ON THEIR VEHICLE CAN OBTAIN A TEMPORARY PASS AT EITHER GATE 4 (24 HOURS A DAY) OR GATE 7 (FROM 0500-2100). POST SECURITY PERSONELL WILL ISSUE A TEMPORARY PASS THAT ALLOWS ACCESS TO THE GARRISON AREA THAT IS GOOD FOR TWO DAYS.

ANY HUNTERS WHO DESIRES TO ENTER THE GARRRISON AREA FOR ANY REASON, TO INCLUDE HUNTING IN CLARKSVILLE BASE OR THE MASP, MUST REGISTER THEIR FIREARMS . WEAPONS REGISTRATION IS CONDUCTED AT GATE 4, 24 HOURS A DAY.

Proposed Hunting Seasons and Bag Limits

2008-2009    

Deer
Bow, Muzzleloader and Shotgun:  20 September-31 December, 2008
Daily bag limit is 2 deer, no more than one antlered.   Possession and season bag limit is 3 deer, no more than one antlered.  Antlered deer are defined as having at least 3 inches of antler above the hairline on either side.  Antler-less deer harvested in Training Areas 00, 01, 07, PB/MC, and AB-areas do not count toward the season bag limit. The harvest of spotted fawns is highly discouraged.

Turkey, Fall
Bow: 20 September-12 December 2008
Shotgun:  13 October-24 November 2008
Bag limit: 2 per day, either sex. No season limit.

Turkey, Winter
Bow and Shotgun: 13 December 2008-19 January 2009
Bag limit: 2 non-bearded turkeys per day.  No season limit.
Bearded is defined as having a visible beard.

Turkey, Spring
Bow and Shotgun: 28 March-3 May 2009
Bag limit: 2 bearded turkeys per day.  Season limit: 4
Bearded is defined as having a visible beard.

Fox and Grey Squirrel
16 August 2008-28 February 2009
Bag limit: 6 per day.  Possession limit 12.  No season limit.

Quail
24 November 2008-8 February 2009
Bag limit: 6 per day.  Possession limit 12.  No season limit.

Rabbit
24 November 2007-8 February 2009
Bag limit: 5 per day.  Possession limit 10.  No season limit.

Raccoon, Fox, Opossum and Bobcat
24 November 2008-28 February 2009
Bag limit: One of each species per day.   Possession limit: 2 per species.  No season limit except on bobcatswhere the limit is 2 per season.  All bobcats must be tagged with a Ft. Campbell kill tag.

Coyote and Groundhog
Open year round, no limit.  Coyotes and groundhogs may also be taken on any authorized hunt.

Feral Hogs
Feral may be taken only on authorized deer hunts.  Pursuing feral hogs with dogs, or by any other method is prohibited.  Feral hogs taken must be checked-in at the Hunting and Fishing Unit.  Please report sightings of feral hogs.

Migratory birds
Seasons and bag limits to be announced.  Season dates usually follow the seasons set for the state you are hunting in.
