Welcome to the Family Resource Center
Welcome
to the Army Community Service (ACS) Family Resource Center (FRC), we are
located in 1501 William C. Lee Road. The FRC opened its doors on May 23rd
2005 after a rigorous renovation. Since we opened over 100,000 people
have used, visited, and trained in this facility. We are a one-stop shop
resource center that is home to the following ACS family programs.
The Family Resource Center was designed with the Family Readiness Groups’
needs in mind. The center has five rooms available for their official
functions.
As you enter the facility you are greeted by
a large reception area. The reception area is filled
with informational brochures and fliers about the Fort Campbell and local
communities. You can reserve the classrooms within the facility through
our receptionist at the front counter. Or click on the Family Resource
Center Standard Operating Procedures to fill out the form to reserve a
room.
The large classroom is perfect
to hold your large function, once fully opened it can hold up to 550 people.
This classroom also breaks down into 3 separate classrooms (classroom
A, B, and C) seating up to 150 people with each room having independent
access. Each room is equipped with a large electric display screen with
built in overhead proximas. Each room has tables and chairs set-up for
your use.
A small classroom is located in the west wing and can
accommodate up to 50-75 people with auditorium style seating. The room
has a manual display screen for use with your laptop and proxima. There
is also a LCD flat screen television. Tables and chairs are set-up for
your use.
The Dining Room is the highlight of
the center, this room has a working fireplace with an arrangement of comfortable
couches and chairs perfect for an informal gathering. There is a dining
area set up for 30 people perfect for a FRG potluck dinner. (these furnishings
were graciously donated by Riner Furniture, Clarksville, Tn) Adjacent
to the dining room is a fully equipped kitchen, with stove, microwave,
dishwasher, refrigerator and pantry. Plenty of working space to prepare
and serve your potluck meal. In the cupboards you will find your essential
kitchen tools, glasses, pots and pans, bowls, plates, flatware, crock
pots, coffee pot, and an assorted of other needed kitchen items (these
were all graciously donated by the Fort Campbell Officers’ Spouses’
Club).
As
you head toward the East wing of the facility this is where you will find
the hub of activity and all ACS programs. In the first room on the right
is the FRG mailbox room. Every Company level FRG has
a mailbox that is filled daily with up to date information on the Fort
Campbell community. There is also a copy machine and paper for their use.
Directly
across the hall is the Resource room, there are 3 stand
alone computers with internet access, copy machine and paper, resource
materials and a section for children to play while you are working.
