Introduction

Army Community Service Consumer Affairs Office (CAO) focuses on improving Soldiers’ and Family Members’ personal financial status and their ability to perform as informed and responsible consumers. The Consumer Affairs Office provides assistance with pre-purchase advice on large purchases and vehicle purchasing. CAO will time?review any type of contract for vehicle, rental property, warranty, insurance and investments. CAO encourages consumers to have all contracts reviewed prior to signing. CAO provides assistance with consumer complaint resolution and mediation. CAO maintains a database of all consumer complaints and provides clients with complaint history on all local businesses. They can also inform the consumer on market trends and how to become a better consumer.

Consumer Affairs provides assistance to active duty military, family members, retirees, National Guard and reserve components, surviving spouses of mentioned personal, and DOD civilians with complaint resolution, contract reviews, large purchase advice, credit reports, and other areas of consumer awareness. We are located at Army Community Service located at 5661 Screaming Eagle Blvd (270-798-5528/3361). Our hours are Monday through Friday, 730-1130am and 1230-430pm. Our counselors are here to help with your needs by providing consultations, resources, guidance, and advocacy to all members of the Army family. Services are provide on a walk-in bases, no appointment is necessary.

• Deployed Soldiers will soon be able to file complaints via this CAO website!
• Anyone may now file a consumer complaint by downloading the complaint form (DA 5184) form our Complaints page and faxing, mailing, or dropping it off to us.
• Trial against LapToyz Computers is still pending trail. All Soldiers currently under contract must continue making their payment by allotment. If payment is stopped it may cause a negative effect on your credit.
• Obtain you credit report for free at annualcreditreport.com.
