Financial Readiness
We provide personal financial readiness and consumer affairs prevention and education programs for Soldiers, Family Members, Reserve components, DA civilians and Retirees.
We assist unit commanders and leaders in training Soldiers and Family Members in presonal financial readiness to include: the military pay system, checkbook/debit card management, financial responibility, credit reporting, savings, investing, and a host of other financial topics.
Our Services:
Army Emergency Relief (AER)
Army Emergency Relief (AER) is a private, non-profit organization established to assist Soldiers and their Family members in emergency financial situations due to no fault of their own. Financial assistance is given in the form of an interest -free loan, grant, or combination of the two. Loans are repaid by an allotment.
Consumer Affairs Office (CAO)
The Consumer Affairs Office provides assistance with pre-purchase advise on large purchases and vehicle purchasing. CAO will review any type of contract for vehicle, rental property, warranty, insurance and investments. CAO encourages consumers to have all contracts reviewed proior to signing. CAO provides assistance with consumer complaint resolution and mediation.
Financial Planning
The Financial Readiness Program provides personal financial readiness and consumer affairs prevention and education for Soldiers, Family members, Reserve components and DA civilians. No appointment is necessary, Bank Account and Debit Card Management classes and Money Management classes are offered on a weekly basis.
