Thursday, August 13

  • 6:30am: Division Run (Tentative)

Friday, August 14 Week of the Eagles Begins

  • 8am:  Fort Campbell Week of the Eagles Welcome Center 2009

    The 159th Combat Aviation Brigade, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) and Fort Campbell will host the Week of the Eagles Welcome Center to welcome guests to the Week of the Eagles and showcase the rich history of the 101st Airborne Division (AASLT).  The Welcome Center will be located outside of Gate 7, on Gate 7 Road, on the Oak Grove side of Fort Campbell BLVD.  Anyone can come and enjoy the diverse displays put up by the 101st Airborne Division units and organizations.  The Welcome Center will be open all Week of the Eagles August 14 - 20, 2009, from 8am to 9pm

  • 10am: Marksmanship Competition at Ranges 10 & 13/14

  • 12pm(noon): Legacy Golf Tournament at Cole Park Golf Club 
    The tournament is an 18 hole, 4 person team scramble. Entry cost is $120/team or $30/person.  Price includes greens fees and 2 carts per team. It is a shotgun start, following the best ball concept

  • Carb Load Dinner for AUSA 10K runners at Cole Park Commons
    Price: TBD

Saturday, August 15

  • 8am:  AUSA 10K Run/5K Fun Run/1K Walk at CROF
    Advanced registration is available at Fort Campbell MWR website. The run starts at 8am and costs $10 for advanced registration or $15 on the day of the event. The 10K Run is a chip timed run.  All runners will receive a commemorative T-shirt, while supplies last. Participants who register in advance will be required to pay their fee on Friday August 14 between 9am and 7pm at Cole Park Commons.  Participants who will register the day of the event are asked to arrive at 6am to start registration. Anyone paying on the day of the race will be required to pay $15 regardless of advance registration. Advance registration and payment is highly encouraged. (Save $5 this way!)   • 10am: Community Fair with CAAF Static Displays at Campbell Army Airfield

Sunday, August 16

  • 8am: Toughest Air Assault Soldier Competition at Sabalauski  Air Assault School
  • 9am: Combatives
    Screening and Weigh-Ins at the Personnel Processing Center (PPC)

  • 3pm: 101st Division Vietnam Veterans Welcome Home ceremony at Hanger 3, Campbell Army Airfield
    An offical welcome home for Vietnam Veterans who never got the recognition that they so justly deserve upon their arrival from war. Veterans will stand in formation and march into the hangar where they will be greeted by Family and friends.All Vietnam Veterans are welcome to attend and participate in the ceremony.

Monday, August 17

  • 8am: Combatives
    Briefing for fighters at the Personnel Processing Center (PPC)

  • 9am: Combatives
    Matches begin at the Personnel Processing Center (PPC)

  • 9am:  Basketball at Freedom Fighters Gym, BDE playoffs begin
  • 9am: Softball at the North Sports Complex, BDE playoffs begin
    The North Sports Complex is located between Kentucky and Indiana, between 47th and 49th street
  • 6pm: Gertsch Formal Dining Out at the James E. Bruce Convention Center in Hopkinsville, KY

Tuesday, August 18

  • 9am: Combatives Finals at the Personnel Processing Center (PPC)

  • 9am: Basketball at Freedom Fighters Gym, semifinals begin

  • 9am: Softball at North Sports Complex, semifinals begin
    The North Sports Complex is located between Kentucky and Indiana, between 47th and 49th street

Wednesday, August 19

  • 9am: Basketball at Freedom Fighters Gym, finals begin
    CDR and CSM game to follow

  • 9am: Softball at North Sports Complex, finals begin
    The North Sports Complex is located between Kentucky and Indiana, between 47th and 49th street.  CDR and CSM game to follow
  • 5pm: Memorial Ceremony at McAuliffe Hall Division Headquarters
     Uniform is ACU, sleeves down- Open to the public

Thursday, August 20

  • 10am: Division Review and Awards Ceremony at the Parade Field

  • 9pm: Welcome Center concludes operations
